Black Friday
over 2 years ago – Fri, Nov 26, 2021 at 04:54:14 AM

Hi all

Everything is ticking along on this end. The mould room is getting the last of the printed miniatures mastered. Fresh from a trip to see them today are these 3 awesome models!

RUMBLESLAM

Part of the RUMBLESLAM team from this campaign. I have to say these might be some of the best miniatures we have ever cast. Great detail to ensure every rippling muscle can be seen and oiled.

Back next week! Happy black friday everybody!

Hey guys

Little late with this update so apologies for that! We were busy attending Salute in London where we showed off some of the glorious models from this campaign. We even met some of you lovely backers in person and it was great to get your reaction to the models.

Salute

'How much bigger is this giant compared to the one I have bought on this campaign' we were asked.

'That is the size of the one you will be receiving' was a satisfying reply to give!

Couple more Ogre sculpts to show you. Spiders are all but finished now, just some posing to do on the big one and I should be able to share that with you soon!

Trappers
over 2 years ago – Sat, Oct 30, 2021 at 04:09:16 PM

Hi all

Here is a first pass on the gnoblit trappers. There are some changes being made so these are not the final sculpts.

Maybe they will be hunting our spiders which are now at the cutting stage. We need to perform all kinds of wizardy when it comes to casting spiders and their legs but these should work out well and give lots of posing options. We may end up joining the two leg pieces together to stop this kit from being 19 parts each!

Shipping & Ravagers & MDF & More!
over 2 years ago – Fri, Oct 15, 2021 at 12:34:18 PM

Hey all

First off I wanted to take a look at the timeline of the campaign so far and how we are getting on considering our shipping was planned for November. While still possible I think a lot of things have to fall into place for us to be able to get product out the door then. We are still waiting on about 20 sculpts at this moment and sadly they aren't coming in as fast as would like as all of the sculptors we work with are extraordinarily busy. I think that considering how chaotic December can be for shipping mid January is realistically when we will be posting this project. As ever I will be here to answer any messages and comments while updating every Friday so you know the current state of progress.

One of the positives of a slight delay is the ability to refine models and make them better. We recently did this with the dragons. Some flimsy parts we thought would snap got thickened up and we made them a little bigger too :)

Tom is getting new sculpts in pretty much daily and printing them off at pace.

Alternate pose Ravagers are next in line!

Ben has been working on the MDF files and taking care of the build instructions this week. While doing so he noticed a few ways to make things easier to construct and implemented a few changes. He explains it better than me here

“I got the Kickstarter buildings laser cut to make sure everything fit and had the correct parts.  During construction, I felt like the kits could go together easier and I’m currently making some final tweaks to each set ready for shipping.”

Want to see more MDF? OK!

Now this next one is really cool! Ben ended up with a whole sheet of free space after designing this and as such we were able to add the spectator stands to the kit as a cheeky bonus!

We now have 30 lasers in our warehouse

And how much wood does it take to feed 30 hungry lasers?

LOTS!

Our resin room has been really struggling to cope with demand over the last few months. While it was fine for the level of product we needed to make last year it simply couldn't cope with the additional stress being put on it from the increase in orders. We ripped the place room apart and now instead of one desk around which everyone demoulds we have a huge numbers of work stations. This change has us now producing FOUR TIMES as much resin as we were 3 weeks ago.

Regular quality checks are in place to hopefully catch any miscasts before the models head on over to the assembly team.

Remember we recently launched a Twitch channel which streams daily and it has featured a lot of models from this campaign! :)

Back next week with more renders! Lewis is also doing a write up on the rules for the new RUMBLESLAM minis though that might be something for the following Friday!

Calm before the storm

Hey all

Only a little update today as it has been a pretty hectic 7 days here at TT

We've spent the week adjusting the size of our dragons to make sure they are cool miniatures that cast well! They are slightly bigger now than originally planned :)

Next week I promise you our biggest update yet :P

Back on Friday!
